Stop Your Thoughts

Your thoughts have a tendency to run like a raging river, dragging you from place to place and forcing you to respond. You cannot control the raging river, but you do not need to control it in order to prevent it from controlling you. Tie up your boat when it needs to be tied. Use your oars and guide your craft in the direction you wish to go. Disembark from time to time and experience the calm on the bank while you regain your strength and composure. You cannot control the river, yet still you can guide your own journey.
