TGIF 10-2-15

It’s October. Wow! Where did the summer go? No complaints here, mind you. I’m looking forward to some cooler weather, or what passes for cooler weather in Phoenix, anyway. We have seen snow once since we moved here. It was about half a centimeter, and I think it’s brought that entire section of the city to a standstill. Not that I blame them, you understand. The first time I saw snow brought me to a standstill too. Anything new or unusual can do that, and snow around here definitely qualifies.

We have three months of Frequently Interrupted behind us now. Talk about new and unusual. I hope you have enjoyed it as much as I have, and I hope that we will continue to do so. I’m always open to ideas and suggestions, so please do let me know if you have any.

Heather and I are about halfway through the foster licensing classes now. We’re going to talk more about that next week, so I won’t belabor the point here. It’s a lot of hard work, but it’s hard work that is well worth it. You’ll be seeing me make that point plenty of time in the foreseeable future. I’ve definitely learned what a need there is, and hope that I can properly convey that need across to the public. Making a better world is part of what we’re about here at Frequently Interrupted, and there are about 400,000 children in the U.S. foster system who would certainly appreciate a better world.

Speaking of that, please don’t forget out Trash Bags are for Trash fundraiser. We are raising money to donate suitcases to children in foster care so that they don’t have to stuff their few precious possessions into trash bags. You’d be amazed how much of a difference something like that can make. If you can help, it would be appreciated. If you can spread the word, that would be appreciated too.

October is also Breast Cancer Awareness Month, hence the pink logo. Take care of yourself, and take care of those you love.

I hope everyone has a great weekend, and we will see you on Monday. As always, thank you for all of your support.
